Ashley's 64th Month Update

It’s been a full month of soccer!  Ashley’s had a really good time and learning a lot as she played soccer this season.  She’s learned about kicks, throw-ins, and working with her teammates.  She says she’s having a great time.  The team celebrated the season at MacDonald’s to get their trophies.  It was a great celebration.  The girls had a great time!

Ashley and Addie went to their very first crawfish boil.  First of all, Ashley does not like new foods.  She knew she would be eating a hotdog that night.  When she saw the crawfish she was not happy at all.  Fear is more like it.  Thank goodness for the fruit!  And thank goodness for the swing to distract her from thinking about the crawfish crawling all around.  The girls did not like it at all.  Mommy and Daddy loved it!

It’s been a great time at school for Ashley.  She’s finished the entire alphabet for Show and Tell!  She finished up with taking a picture of her standing in our garden next to one of our zucchini plants.  She enjoyed making her own pizza for snack time during chef week.  And during circus week Ashley’s class had a picnic under the “big top” tent.  Her class has also made submarine sandwich boats for lunch one day during ocean week.  Her class also made an alligator dessert during zoo week.  She came home and told Mommy all the ingredients in order to make it at home.  And, Ashley’s been sharing the songs her class has been preparing for the upcoming Pre-K graduation!  She is super excited!

Ashley was so excited about Mother’s Day.  For weeks she said she was working on a secret project that was in her room and Mommy was not allowed to look.  She was supper excited about serving Mommy breakfast in bed.  On the Friday before Mother’s Day Ashley brought home a bag from school and would not allow Mommy to even touch it!  Sunday morning Ashley woke Mommy up with the bag.  She had decorated it to look like Mommy, even with a little bit of red hair!  Inside was breakfast in bed!  A muffin and orange juice, perfect!  And of course, Ashley wanted to share the muffin (chocolate) but didn’t really like the juice.  Ashley made a beautiful bracelet at Sunday school for Mommy.  It was a great day.
