Ashley really enjoyed the end of Spring Break with a special puppet show of Cinderella. She also got to watch the movie, which she thought was pretty neat! Ashley loved going to the park for a picnic lunch and playing with our friend Simon. Spring Break was great fun. With Flat Stanley and wrote all about it in her book.
Ashley participated in her first Palm Sunday service. Her Sunday School class sang in one service and she walked in waving palms in another service. It was a lot to do in one Sunday morning. The day didn’t stop there. We went back to church for a special children’s program and then Ashley helped Mommy with some work at Runway Theatre. That’s a lot to do on a Sunday. She was glad to rest and go back to school on Monday!
Easter was lots of fun staying home this year. Ashley had a party at school with her friends and had her first Easter egg hunt with her friends. She actually had 2 egg hunts at school! She was all about counting her eggs! She brought home plenty of treats! We spent Good Friday relaxing, playing, and making Easter crafts. Saturday we played with friends at church and had another Easter egg hunt. Ashley loved getting more eggs! The afternoon was spent coloring eggs for the Easter baskets and playing outside on the new swing. The Easter Bunny was super nice and brought Ashley a new dance game for the Wii! She tried it out and really likes to dance! It’s fun for all! And Ashley loves the candy! It was raining a lot, so the last Easter egg hunt was in doors, but that didn’t stop the excitement. It was just as fun as all the rest! Happy Easter!
Soccer has been busy for Ashley. The rain has canceled a few games and practices. Otherwise she’s been full speed ahead on the field. She had a tournament one weekend where she played two games in one day. She was wiped out by the end of the day. She is really enjoying playing soccer and talks about playing all during the week between practices and games.
Ashley has added responsibilities at home. She is now our mail helper. When we get home from school she is responsible for checking the mailbox. She takes her job very seriously and wants to check every day! Even on Sundays. She doesn’t know why we don’t get mail on Sundays.
