Ashley loves school! She gets up early to eat breakfast and then is ready to go! One of her favorite parts of the week is Show and Tell. She will talk about it all week thinking of what she can bring. She has come up with some pretty good idea so far. One of her favorites was bringing a picnic basket filled with (play) cookies to represent her favorite fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood.
Ashley has loved the Halloween decorations at home and is thrilled to pick books out of our Halloween pile to read at night. Her favorite books right now are Which Way to Witch School and Angelina’s Halloween. At first when the house was decorated she wanted to say, “Welcome home Halloween house” every time we walked in the house. She has had a very fun time playing with an eyeball ball. Who knew such a simple toy could bring hours of entertainment. Our neighbor brought both Ashley and Addie a pumpkin and Halloween stickers.
Ashley enjoyed attending her cousin Emma’s school fall festival. She very much enjoyed her treats. Her favorite activity was the cake walk! She continues to tell us about walking around to the music. Ashley was very excited to spend the night and Emma’s house and sleep in Emma’s room.
Ashley has also helped several friends celebrate birthdays. She could hardly contain herself with all the fun at the parties. She was completely wiped out afterwards. Ashley also really enjoyed sharing her play set with our game night friends. It was a perfect evening to play outside. Every one drove the car, rode the tricycles, played in the playhouse, and ran around the backyard.
The most exciting thing for Ashley this month has been the addition of her 2nd closet in her room. Mr. Bob finally had time to come to our house. Every day when we got home Ashley would run to her room to see the progress Mr. Bob had made. She was very confused when she got home and the door had been removed! That was a step back in her opinion, but the door needed to be painted. She is thrilled with the addition of a shelf above her closet doors to display a collection of dolls. This is a very happy girl in her new room!
