Ashley continues to be the happiest girl around! She tends to have a good time wherever she goes and whatever she doing. In fact several days she has been having such a good time at school playing outside that she has asked for Mommy to get Addie first and come back for her in a few minutes. Another day care across the street had a plumbing issue and had to spend a week at Ashley’s school. Ashley was very confused as to why there were extra people using extra rooms and why she had to share her playground with the other kids. That did not make her very happy that she was not allowed to play on the pirate ship.
With the warmer weather we have been spending a lot of time playing outside. Ashley loves to drive her pink sports car all around our street. She’s been learning about transportation at school and will share all kinds of knowledge with us as she drives. She can almost get the pink sports car parked in the garage at the right angel. Every day when she is done driving, she then likes to get out her tricycle. She really wants Addie to ride her little bike around the block with her, but Addie prefers to walk. And, Ashley really does not like it when Addie gets in front of her on the path! She yells “red light” but Addie keeps on going! On a couple of days Ashley has also been able to try out her roller skates she got for Christmas. Mommy and Daddy are glad there isn’t a lot of traffic on the street because it is an interesting scene to say the least!
Ashley made a quick trip to help Maw Maw and Paw Paw celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She kept telling us how excited she was to wear her yellow dress to their party. Ashley had a fantastic time at the party! Since Mommy wasn’t there the entire time it is unclear, but rumor has it she ate between 3 and 4 pieces of cake! Daddy was able to have her run off some of the sugar in the gym before exploding with sugar. Between eating all that cake she was very helpful in passing out cake to others.
Ashley began Spring Break with much excitement to pick up her cousins, Henry and Emma, and head to Mimi & Willy’s house. Ashley was so excited she didn’t stop talking from the time we left our house until we got to Houston. She laughed so hard in the car! Emma asked if there were any ear plugs.
