Ashley's had an all around great month! What could be better than celebrating the holidays and ending it with a birthday celebration! Ashley had a great party at school with her friends. Ashley also attended her first Happy Birthday Jesus party at Sunday School. Being out of school for two weeks was great! Ashley and Mommy went to a special Christmas story time, saw a play, The Three Little Pigs and a Fruitcake, and had lots of playtime!
Christmas was great! Ashley spent time with all of her family. She was sure to tell Artie, our Elf on the Shelf, that she and Addie would be in Leesville for Christmas so Santa would know where to bring her toys. She was really looking forward to her shopping cart and green ball. Ashley was a busy chef making a gingerbread house, reindeer cookies, and taco soup with Aunt Ne. Ashley was so excited when she got a bath tub for Bitty Baby that she said, "Bitty won't stink any more!" It was a real shock to Ashley when she got up Christmas morning to find a car under the Christmas tree. At first she didn't know what to think, but was so excited when she found the shopping cart and green ball. Santa did a great job finding all kinds of things Ashley wanted! It didn't take long for Ashley to figure out how to drive her new sports car. Ashley continued the Christmas celebration at home with the rest of her family. This little girl was ecstatic to get her first pair of roller skates. Henry and Emma were great coaches. She kept it up and was able to to all the way around the block with Daddy's help. And it seems now that Ashley has a stroller for Bitty Baby, there is a lot of strolling going on after bedtime?!?!?
Returning to school wasn't too bad, especially when we were looking forward to a birthday party! Ashley got to be the calendar helper to countdown to her birthday. Ashley went to the bakery and all by herself ordered 24 chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with pink and green icing. When the baker looked at Mommy as if to say, "Is she for real?" Mommy smiled and said, "It's her birthday. She knows what she wants." Ashley had a Miss Spider Happy Hatch Day party with friends at home. It was a great afternoon of Sunny Patch hopscotch and bowling. Everyone promised to be good to all bugs before eating a very yummy cake! Ashley told every one she turned 4 during her birthday party. She was so happy! What more could anyone ask for.
