Ashley continues to entertain us (and herself) all the time! She has the silliest expressions when she talks and can make us laugh so hard! On the other hand, twice this month we were told Ashley is very dramatic and has a big personality. Oh my! What will the future hold for us with Ashley!
The weather is finally cool enough to spend time outside without melting. We like playing on the swing set and Ashley loves her tricycle. Although she will tell you riding a tricycle is a lot of work!
Ashley had so much fun going to the Dallas “Arburrito” with her cousins. The pumpkin patch was wonderful. There were pumpkins everywhere of different sizes and colors! Ashley tried the hay maze, but found it more fun to jump over the stacks of hay than run through them. And Ashley had so much fun helping Mommy decorate for Halloween. Ashley was so proud that she was the one who put out the pumpkin rugs and pillows. She also got very frustrated when Addie would move the things she put out. Ashley is so excited to be reading all of our Halloween books, except for one that makes a creaky door noise!
Ashley showed her strong willed side this month when she got an ear infection. She refused to take her medicine. And by refuse, I mean REFUSED! It was not a happy time in our household, but in the end it was her choice to get shots in order to take her medicine. It took three trips to the pediatrician and lots of tears. The shots have seemed to make a big impression on Ashley because all of her baby dolls got sick and had to get a shot. Hopefully it won’t be this bad next time!
On a brighter note ballet classes have begun again. Ashley loves to play ballet class at home. She has every one raise their hand with a bubble in their mouth. Then she calls us up one at a time to say ,”Hello my name is….” Then we do a royal turn, curtsey, and blow a kiss. Yeah for ballet class!
