What a busy month we have had! The holidays were celebrated in a big way this year! Ashley was so excited from beginning to end. Each night before we went to bed we had a count down to Christmas. Ashley made sure we stayed on top of that! And Artie, our Elf on the shelf, kept a close eye on what Ashley was up to in order to report back to Santa if she should be on his naughty or nice list. Luckily she stayed on the nice list all month.
Ashley had a Christmas party with her friends at school, a party with her class, and had friends over to help decorate cookies. After celebrating at home we "hit the road" as Ashley likes to say. Christmas was a great time traveling to see grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ashley did not suffer from a lack of presents! Santa was very good to Ashley. And between Christmas and birthday presents Bitty Baby, Ashley's baby doll, did well also! Most importantly Ashley loved every minute she had to play with her family. She learned how to play Candyland with Aunt Ne and Emma showed her how to use the play-dough Santa brought.
Once the holidays were over there was no time to sit around because Ashley's 3rd birthday party was just around the corner. Only an hour before Ashley's Sweet Shoppe was to open Ashley was running around the house and ran right into the corner of a wall. We were very fortunate there was very little blood, the spot immediately swelled up, and after a few minutes of rest & ice she was acting normal, so no trip to the emergency room. But what great pictures she has from her party with a big red mark on her forehead!
