Another great month! Ashley's growing and continues to bless our family every day! She absolutely loves Addie and being a big sister. Ashley loves to help by getting diapers and holding the pacifier for little sister. She constantly gives Addie hugs and kisses. Ashley isn't bothered at all when Addie cries, but turns to us and says "Addie's talking." If Ashley could only tell us what Addie's saying! Ashley has started asking to be picked up and carried more. One time she said "twist me" meaning she wanted us to rock her back and forth when we're standing up as we do Addie. Another time she wanted us to wrap her up in a blanket like Addie. And right now Ashley has an obsession with all the pictures we put in a book of her with family. She took all the pictures out and carries them in her purse where ever she goes!
Right before Addie was born Ashley had her first hair cut. She wasn't bothered by it at all. Her already curly hair has become even curlier! We celebrated Father's Day and Daddy got a new LSU hat to match Ashley's. I don't know who was more excited...Daddy or Ashley! Ashley also gave Daddy a new bank to replace the one she broke a few months ago. Now he has a place to save his change again!
Ashley's continuing to go to school during the summer. She was a big hit when she took her book to show her friends about Addie. Every one wanted to see it. And she's very protective of Addie on the few days Addie comes to school to pick her up. Ashley doesn't like the other kids getting close to Addie. Ashley's enjoying the fun summer activities at school like the Bunny Hop and Splash Day!
For July 4th we all went to a friend's house where Ashley played in the pool with her friend Adam. They had a great time together laughing and splashing. And she loves her swim class. This month she was finally big enough to go down the big slide. We've heard a lot about the big slide and Miss Barbara. She's constantly asking if it's "swim day" and we always look forward to Mondays!
