It's hard to believe another month has already gone by!
This month had 2 meetings with our game night friends. Ashley had so much fun playing with Ben, Preston, Ruth, Adam, and Isaac. She loved Adam's guitar and was right at home strumming the strings. And Mr. Matt was the most popular person there when he had a plate full of carrots! After the 1st game night Ashley kept her friends in her prayers at night. When it was time for the next game night she was a little confused as to why we weren't getting in the car to go. She didn't understand her friends were coming to her house. At first she was a little shy to share her toys, but then warmed up to the idea. Every one had a great time! Ashley's still talking about tea with Adam!
We also had a family outing to the King Tut exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. Ashley was really well behaved throughout the entire day at the museum. She stayed in her stroller and took in everything! Afterward she had a great time playing with her cousins Henry and Emma. She would make herself crack up when she started playing the piano. And after a while Henry joined her. They played in the backyard for a long time and Ashley didn't seem to be bothered by Hans, Henry & Emma's dog, for the most part. Hans continues to be a part of Ashley's prayer list also! She's always talking about Hans being outside!
We had a wonderful Mother's Day. Daddy and Ashley had a discussion about it being Mommy's special day. Ashley said she wanted to give Mommy a cookie, so that's what Daddy got! Mother's Day morning Ashley was standing outside the door giggling saying "open door Daddy!" because she was so excited to burst in the room and wake Mommy up with cards and the cookie. It was so sweet.
It's funny to hear what other people say about Ashley. Her teacher at school says she really likes to be a helper. She'll pass out plates for snack time, but doesn't really like it when the other children get the baby dolls or blankets! She spends a lot of time playing in the home center. And her Sunday School teacher seems surprised at home much Ashley loves books and goldfish! She wouldn't be so surprised if she could see the mountain of books Ashley takes to bed with her each night!
