This month flew by! We had something going on all the time it seemed. Ashley was excited when we went to Butterfly, Flutterby in Grapevine to watch a parade of people and butterfly release. I'm not sure what she liked more the people or the dogs dressed up as butterflies! She was really excited and started clapping and saying "bye, bye" when the butterflies flew up in the air. I think she really enjoyed it! Later that same day we visited a local pumpkin patch with friends. She had the best time running every where! She tasted freedom! She was exhausted after a fun filled day!
This was Ashley's first Halloween to go trick-or-treating. She dressed up as Tinker Bell! She didn't really understand what was going on. Mimi and Willy had just arrived and I think Ashley was wondering "Why are other people going to my house while I'm walking away?" We went to 4 houses on our block. When we would get to the door Ashley would put her pumpkin down and wait for the person to put the candy in it for her. Between the 3rd and 4th house Ashley was done. She was ready to go home and see Mimi and Willy!
Ashley got to spend time with Henry and Emma. She showed them her playhouse and slide. They played together outside for a long time. Henry really enjoyed playing Guitar Hero with Uncle Ken also!
Ashley has transitioned to being in the swimming pool with just the teacher. She loves it! Every day on her way home from school she says, "Pool? Pool?" And I tell her we only go to the pool on Tuesdays. She only has a few more Water Baby 3 lessons.
Every morning Ashley and Daddy have to find the moon before they go to school. And if we're outside at night she wants to find the moon again. Ashley's also learning a lot at school. Her vocabulary continues to surprise us. And she's learning her colors. Every day she'll tell me the color of something else. When we're getting dressed in the morning she always asks if she's going to wear a pink bow and most days she does! We love pink!
