Ashley’s had another fun month on the go! She is in the middle of transitioning from the Toddler room to the Early Preschool room at school. Ashley’s ready to play with the big kids! In her new room she will start drinking from a cup without a lid…are the teacher’s just looking for trouble? At school she has also learned how to turn the water on, wash her hands, and turn the water off all by herself. Can we get a sink like that at our house?
Ashley is getting ready for Halloween. She’s enjoyed looking and playing with all the Halloween decorations in our house. She especially likes to hide behind the dish towels hanging from the oven door and say “Boo!” Playing Peek-a-Boo is still one of Ashley’s favorite games! Ashley loves to listen to Five Little Pumpkins. Here favorite part is when the wind blows and “out go the lights.” She’s still working on the hand motions to get the five little pumpkins to roll out of sight!
On her 2nd trip to the State Fair of Texas Ashley enjoyed a pretzel and was wondering what Big Tex was saying. She kept pointing to Big Tex while he was talking. Ashley had her first carousel rides with Mommy and Daddy. At first she would not let go of Mommy to sit on a horse. But on her 2nd ride she was up for sitting on a horse going up and down. She didn’t know what to think of the petting zoo, but really liked the small animals like the puppies, kittens, and of course her favorite….ducks!
Ashley continues to enjoy her swim lessons and being in the water. She is now at a point where she is in the water without Mommy a little more each lesson. Sitting on the step waiting to take a turn is really hard for a little girl!
Ashley’s busy social calendar had her hanging out with Henry & Emma one night this month. Henry & Emma counted over 100 cars while they stood at the windows waiting for Ashley’s arrival! Ashley really liked the stuffed animals Henry & Emma won at the fair. She’s still not too fond of Hans. She wants to like him, but she gets so scared when he comes in the house!
After a fun night of hanging out with her friends Preston, Ruth, and Adam during Game Night, Ashley said “bye-bye” to Dallas and “hello” to Houston for a couple of days. Ashley loved pushing Night-Night Bear, Hop-Hop, and Baby in the buggy around Mimi & Willy’s house.
