Ashley has her own “playlist” that she requests all the time! She will say “Baa” to hear Baa, Baa, Black sheep, “Bees” to hear Bringing Home My Baby Bumble Bees, “Bonk” to hear Bonk, Bonk Mr. Froggy, and “Row, Row” to hear Row, Row, Row Your Boat. We sing these over and over and over and over! She also enjoys doing the motions to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Pat-A-Cake, and Itsy Bitsy Spider. There is a lot of singing going on where ever Ashley is at any time!
She also loves to rock. She rocks in her rocking chair, Mommy’s rocking chair, on her rocking horse, the Rockin’ Blue Puppy, and her Great-Grandmother’s rocking chair. She’ll climb up and with a great big smile say “rock-rock.”
Ashley is talking a lot. When it’s time to leave she walks to the door and says, “bye-bye.” When we drive up to the house she says, “home.” She likes to go to the back door and say “out” when she wants to play outside. She says “up” and “down” when she’s in her highchair. And she has started referring to “milk” instead of everything being water. She always reaches for the keys when she's getting out of the car and says "keys."
Ashley is an eater! She loves fruit! She will eat just about any type of fruit put in front of her and when she’s done will put her hands together asking for more! And she loves using her fork and spoon. She’s really improved her hand-eye coordination in the last few weeks. We still find extra macaroni and cheese, but it’s not near as much.
Tuesday afternoons Ashley says "pool!" Ashley completed Water Babies 2 and started Water Babies 3. She loves to be in the water. When it's time to get out of the pool to practice jumping in she likes to pretend she's running away. Thankfully there are teachers outside the pool who help her find her way back! She loves blowing bubbles and going down the slide. It won't be long until she starts having time in the pool without Mommy!
