This month was filled with more fun and fevers!
Ashley's getting more teeth so we continue to have fevers and drool. Luckily she's pretty happy even when her teeth are bothering her. She's back on a banana kick. Ashley likes to eat at least one banana every day, if not more. And she's added cantaloupe and chicken nuggets to her favorite things to eat. Every time she hears the word chicken she starts to "flap her wings" to do the chicken dance. Ashley's starting to use the spoon on her own and it's very messy. With summer here she'll have more time to experiment with the spoon at home.
Ashley attended two birthday parties. Each was a lot of fun. And no one can say Ashley doesn't have a sweet tooth. At her friend Jillian's birthday party Mommy left the icing on the plate and Ashley stuck her hand in it and licked all the icing off her hand! Then at Emma's birthday party Ashley found a new friend when Mi Mamma let Ashley eat her cake. Mi Mamma would give her a bite, Ashley would swallow and come right back using her hands to make the "more" sign. "More Mi Mamma! More!" Thank goodness Ashley didn't get sick from all the sugar!
Off to the Fort Worth Zoo! Ashley went to see the animals and had a great time. She was checking everything out. She watched every animal with amazement. It was a very enjoyable time and completely wiped Ashley out. She was asleep before we got out of the parking lot. Ashley's other first for the month was a bubble bath. At first she was a little scared because she couldn't find her hands, feet, or toys because all the bubbles, but then she figured it all out and had so much fun. She kept lifting her hands out of the water and touching the bubbles. She even tried to eat a few!
On her last day of school Ashley had Splash Day. Mommy was probably more excited than Ashley for the last day to finally get here. Let the summer fun begin!
