Ashley's had a fun month. After being so sick last month Ashley seems to have turned the corner to health this month! Ashley started the month with Spring Break...what could be better than that! She had an extra swim lesson, spent a day skateboarding with Henry, playing with Emma, and did lots of shopping with Mommy!
For Easter we went to Houston where Willy introduced Ashley to the fine art of eating donut holes! Yum! Yum! Ashley also tried out Fort Willy when she had her first ride in a swing. She really liked going high and thought it was extra fun when Mommy started swinging also. The Easter Bunny brought all kinds of fun things to Ashley's basket and Ashley went straight for the candy! The Easter Bunny also brought Ashley a duck that quacks since that is her favorite thing to say!
Ashley had a visit from Aunt Renita and her cousin Matt this month also. Every time Ashley would look at Matt she would start giggling! Matt helped Daddy start building a patio in the backyard. Ashley had never really seen much action out the backdoor, but now she continues to walk to the backdoor and point so we will show her what's out there. A picture of Matt hangs on the refrigerator and Ashley will point to Matt, point to the backdoor, and start giggling again!
Now every morning when Ashley wakes up, the very first thing she does is to find her "Who Loves Baby" book and point to Henry and Emma. Depending on the morning Ashley will then go through the rest of the book and point to different people, but Henry always comes first!
Ashley's on the move this month too! She is in the middle of transitioning from the infant room to the toddler room at day care. So far so good. She's not shy to try new things once she warms up to people. She's already done a couple of art projects, eating with the big kids, and trying out the outside playground equipment.
