We know for sure Ashley weighs 20 lbs. and 12 oz. We know this because we've been to the doctor at least 5 times in the last month! It's been a very long month for Ashley, Mommy and Daddy. Ashley's had ear infections, eye infections, and strep. We're hoping to be on the road to health during this latest round of antibiotics and warmer weather in the forecast!
We started the month off by visiting Daddy at his office for lunch and shopping with Mommy on President's Day. What a great way to spend a day off from school! The musical balloon Daddy gave Ashley for Valentine's Day is barely hanging on, but it's still here and Ashley says "boon" when ever she wants to hear the music which is often!
Ashley's starting to walk around more on her own. And she's learned a few things from her friends at school...the best being how to say "quack!" "Quack" will officially be Ashley's first word. Ashley is very observant as she sees every thing, every where! Ashley prefers to point and have others say the words for her.
This month Ashley saw her first snow! On March 6th it snowed 4 inches at our house. We bundled Ashley up in 3 layers and took her outside. She just stood there and starred at us as if to say, "Why are you putting my feet in this cold stuff?" Daddy built a snowman that was as tall as Ashley. Again, I don't think she was very impressed, but Mommy & Daddy sure had fun!
With our many sick days at home Ashley has played and played with her toys. She's figuring out how all the little pieces fit in the big pieces. And she LOVES to read books. She will sit close to 30 minutes looking at books on her own. Her favorite books right now are ones with pages to "lift" to see what is hiding. She loves anything to do with Peek-A-Boo.
We are looking forward to getting healthy and staying healthy as Ashley and Mommy begin Spring Break!
