Ashley’s had a pretty good month. She’s learning more and more each day with her friends at school and always has a question. The answers to those questions usually bring more questions. And well, you know how that goes!
Ashley is a master chef in the Goins’ household. She helped mommy make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. She was so excited that she spent almost the entire 20 minutes watching the cupcakes bake in the oven. She loved the cupcakes and wanted to make more when they were gone. She is always a great help in the kitchen.
Ashley loved spring break at Mimi and Willy’s house with Henry and Emma. Henry would do just about anything Ashley would ask him to do. They played games, sang songs, chased each other, and that was all in the first 10 minutes. She had a good time playing with all of Mimi’s toys. The little people were still little! Ashley really wanted a hat once she saw Emma’s cowboy hat. Mimi’s has the best closets because you know what Ashley found? A ladybug hat! She wore it almost the entire time we were there. We also went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We saw a lot of cows, bunnies, chickens, and sheep. Ashley is still talking about the train ride to and from the rodeo. Henry pushed Ashley’s stroller and they zoomed along the streets of downtown Houston both of them laughing all the way! She had so much fun! Her teacher’s knew she had a good week because she was so tired when she went back to school on Monday.
One Saturday morning Ashley and Addie were playing in Ashley’s room and some how Ashley’s lamp fell over and stopped working. Hmm, no one seemed to know anything about how this might have happened. That afternoon we went to the mall to get Ashley a new lamp. While we were walking Ashley all the sudden frozen and wouldn’t move. She told us she needed her battery charged to make it back to the car. Her “battery” needed charging several more times before she could walk back to the car. Apparently a trip to the mall can really wear a girl out, because not even 5 minutes in the car and both girls were in a deep sleep.
