What a fun month Addie's had! She is growing is so many ways. She talks, she sings, she eats, she runs, she loves to wear other people's shoes. The girl loves to laugh! She ahs the best laugh!! She also loves to be right by Ashley's side. The two spend lots of time together. Most of the time it's quality time, but Addie is also learning how to "push" Ashley's buttons. When they are in the car Ashley will make a face at Addie. Addie always laughs. When the gesture is returned Ashley does not like it at all. Sisters!
We've been spending a lot of time outside with the neighbors. Addie will be right behind them no matter what they are doing. Addie likes to push the babies in the grocery cart or the stroller. If Ashley lets go of one of them Addie is right there to take over, even if Ashley wasn't ready to trade. Addie loves to slide and swing. She can go down the slide by herself but prefers for some one to hold her hand. She loves to spot different things when we're outside too (or looking out the window). One morning she went down the driveway and started making her way down the sidewalk. She turned to Daddy, put her finger on her mouth and said, "shh." She was looking for the bunnies. Another evening we were playing in the front with the neighbors and the bunnies were feeling very brave. Three bunnies chased each other in circles around the cul-de-sac with all the children following right behind. By the end of it the bunnies had made their way around the cul-de-sac twice. Addie was beside herself watching those bunnies. She was so happy!
Her favorite book right now is Five Little Ducks. She likes to listen to the book and the song. She also has learned songs at school that every one in our house knows. She loves to say each person's name for the Jump Up and Down song. Sometimes Daddy even jumps for her! She also likes to sing the "open, shut them" hands songs. And when she's on a roll she sings all of her songs at once! It's a concert and you never know what song is coming next. Another favorite is the "tick tock" song she learned at swimming. She likes to jump up and say "cock coo." Many nights she lays in her bed singing to her bear and bunny.
We had game night with friends two nights in a row! Addie tried her best to ride the big toys, but it was hard and there were other little ones in her way. She really liked playing in the water and would not take her swimsuit off. She loves ice cream cones so it took a minute to figure out she why she wasn't eating her cone. She would not let any one take it from her, but kept walking around. Then we realized she didn't like the hard chocolate on the outside. Once that was taken off the ice cream cone was gone in a matter of minutes!
