Addie is growing and growing! She's up to 27 pounds. She's a real explorer. She can find anything and everything you don't want her to get into! She loves to make sure you are watching her and pull open drawers. She stands on her tippy toes so she can barely see over the top of the drawer. Then she starts pulling everything out of the drawer. Once you tell her "no" she is off running and laughing until you can catch up! One Saturday afternoon she was eating her snack and kept saying "tickle, tickle" because she wanted us to tickle her and give a big belly laugh. She is always so happy with a smile and a laugh to brighten our day.
Addie is definitely into what ever Ashley is playing with or doing at the time. Most of the time it doesn't bother Ashley. And if you turn around and don't see Addie, she can be found playing in sister's kitchen cooking up something good. Addie will laugh at anything Ashley is doing. Even when Ashley gets in trouble Addie is right there by her side, literally! Ashley was sent to timeout one afternoon and Addie sat right next to her and waited until Ashley could get up and play again.
Addie is really enjoying her classroom at school. She loves her teachers and smiles so big when she sees them in the mornings. She really likes when Ashley walks by her room. They wave to each other through the windows. Addie enjoys all the stories and songs of circle time. She really likes mimicking her teachers’ actions and words. She is starting to learn the motions to several songs (and lights up when we sing the same songs at home). One day she put a basket on her arm and walked all around the room until she got to the door. She put her hand on the knob and said, "bye, bye" to all her friends. She is also starting to follow directions such as putting items in the trashcan when asked by her teacher. Addie has her own form of follow the leader because she prefers for her teacher to chase her rather than follow the teacher! Oh what a happy girl!
