Addie is growing up so fast! And we mean growing! Just in the last month she has grown through a shoe size! And she is so tall. Every one is quickly reminded to put things well out of reach of Addie's little fingers. She loves to get Mommy's cell phone and Daddy's remote control. Ashley has resorted to playing with some of the toys on a bed because that's the only place Addie can't reach! And she loves to take everything out of the bathroom cabinets and drawers! The doors to the bathrooms are always closed at our house, just in case.
Nothing slows Addie down. The girl walks and runs all over the place. She prefers to have something in both hands when walking around the house. Her favorite things to get are 2 boxes of baby shoes, one for each hand. If the shoes are not available then she finds the nearest toy with a handle. Addie will be in one room and gone in the next second! The girl is fast!
We've had a pretty busy few weeks. We have spent most mornings at the park and Addie had her first solo ride down the slide! She loved it so much she turned right around and tried to climb back up the slide; and, she actually got a goods ways back up! She loves to swing and could stay in the swing long after Mommy's ready to go home. At the park Addie has a lot of freedom to run around, and she takes full advantage of it!
We also celebrated Christmas in July with friends. The children had a book exchange and sang Christmas carols. If we thought about it hard enough we cooled down a little bit from the heat. We spent another week in Houston but were very sad it rained so much we didn't get to spend near the time in the pool as planned. Addie is really getting into her swim lessons. Now she can stand on her own and find objects under the water. She remembers the different songs and can do most of the motions on her own. She will look at her swim teacher when she's sitting at the top of the slide and "tell" her she is ready to go! When she come up from being under water Addie gives the biggest smile and laughs!
