What a big girl! Addie is 6 months old and weighs 19 pounds and 11 ounces. And to every one's surprise started sitting up on her own! One day she was just sitting! She may wobble a little bit but for the most part just sits. What a cutie!!
Addie's started eating more baby food this month, too. So far she likes peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, and pears. She's not quite ready for apples. Maybe in a few more weeks.
Addie has adjusted very well to her new school. She's enjoying getting to play with new toys every day. She loves to read books and studies everything that is going on around her in her classroom. During her first week the director took Addie to see Ashley and they waved to each other through the window. Apparently every one was very happy about that! And when Mommy comes to pick her up, Addie turns her head around as soon as she hears Mommy's voice and starts waving her arms and kicking her legs. She's always so happy! At the end of her first week her teachers put together a sweet book saying all the things she had done that week.
For Addie's first Thanksgiving she visited Maw Maw and Paw Paw in Leesville. Addie was so good in the car. She made it all the way without having to stop! She slept most of the way, but when she was awake she would play with her toys, look at Ashley, and just start laughing. We were driving along and would hear Addie's cute little giggle from the back seat!
Addie is getting ready for Christmas. She went with Ashley to visit Santa and had her picture. She also had Breakfast with Santa. Santa brought her a book about the animals on a farm. And Addie was very happy to help Henry celebrate his birthday. She loved watching every one run around. Just wait until she's in the middle of it too!
